Running Well With Seconds And Thirds At Hexham

Our busy day at Hexham yielded three seconds, two thirds and plenty to like from the other runners.

We rate Ain't My Fault as one of our nicer novice chasers and while he is still immature he showed a lovely attitude coupled with sound jumping to be second over two and a half miles. Making the running he seemed to enjoy himself and there will be a lot more to come from him this season.

Also second was Misfits who loves Hexham but really needs further than three miles; he stays so well and if he had got a swifter jump at the last he may have just got his head in front. He has the four miler round here in a month or so and we will now prepare him for it.

Our novice hurdlers were set a bit of a task round this stiff track; Fyfin Patsy revelled in the challenge and stayed on well to be second, showing all the determination that we love her for. Mon Ami Bob faded when headed, but having made the running for three quarters of the race this was a run that can be built on. Destiny Is All looked weak in the closing stages but should make a good chaser in time, while Rapid Raider was again on and off the bridle and this is not his true showing.

Rivabodiva cheered us up with another game effort to be third; she is another who stays well and she was closing at the end.

And finally, Flutter Down delighted us all by settling then galloping to the line to be third in the bumper; a light framed horse he will make a super stayer in time.
