After an intense day yesterday it was back to normal this morning and moderate exercise for all in preparation for tomorrow's work day.
At Kilduff we schooled Ceegem, Gaye Flier, Ryalex, Badger Foot and Hey Listen, and at Arlary the horses cantered three times up the woodchip.
Our two new horses have settled in: Saint Freule is in full work and aiming for the bumper at the Scottish Grand National meeting. He shows a super attitude to his work and a fresh enthusiasm on the gallops.
Cockle Bay, pictured winning his Irish point to point, has had a canter on the gallops and will now have a holiday to fill out and mature. He has plenty of scope, as you can see from the photograph, and he should be a very decent prospect for the autumn. He is for sale: please see more details on the FOR SALE page.
At Wetherby Tap Night ran with great enthusiasm until the home turn; he will likely be held up next time.
Derek had a positive report from the Jack Berry physiotherapist this afternoon. He will be seen by the doctor on Monday and we are hoping that he will then be cleared to ride next week.
